Thursday, November 9, 2000 The Ramada Inn Silicon Valley SPECIAL EFFECTS WITH COLORED CONCRETE The Santa Clara Valley Chapter of The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) would like to extend an invitation for you to join them on the second Thursday of November. Mark your calendars for November 9, 2000, and come to enjoy a dinner, raffle, informative table-tops, and a distinctive presentation about the different systems available now for colored concrete. Do you have a project where you want to get a special effect with colored concrete? Well this is your program, because there are new options available for colored concrete. The panel of speakers will show pictures and briefly explain different systems like integral coloring, staining, dust-on colors, etching, alcohol dies, polymer toppings, concrete toppings with radiant heat and thin-coat cementitious colored toppings. There has been new technology; and colored concrete is the AHOT@ thing being used in our industry today. Infinite ideas and applications are available to anyone with an imagination and creative ideas. What special effects can you get with colored concrete?Panelists are as follows: Mr. Robert Torres has 22 years experience in the concrete industry and has been with L.M. Scofield Company for 12 of years. Mr. Tom Ralston is a third generation concrete contractor of the Ralston family, which has been doing concrete for over 70 years. Mr. Brett Anthony has been in the flooring industry for 25 years, and joined Ardex six years ago.
