UNDERSTANDING CODES AND
RECENT CHANGES
The Santa Clara Valley Chapter of The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) would like to extend an invitation for you to join them on the first Thursday of July. July 1, 1999 we will have a dinner, raffle, and our program about Understanding Codes and Recent Changes.
This program will cover the following codes and issues:
Our speaker; Mr. John A. Raeber, FAIA, FCSI, CCS is an architect, specifier, writer, teacher, and codes resource. He is an adjunct professor in the Architectural program at California College of Arts and Crafts where he teaches codes, specifications, and materials and methods of construction. He has also been teaching codes for the San Francisco Chapter AIA architectural registration exam for nearly 20 years. Mr. Raeber was the first architectural consultant hired by the California Building Standards Commission for work on Title 24. He is best know for his work as an expert relating to state and federal laws on building access requirements for persons with disabilities. He has also served as an expert witness and information resource regarding various code interpretations, especially relating to the California Building Code.
This program meets AIA/CES Quality Level 2 criteria. Participants will receive 2 LUS (learning units).
