Technology Revolution:
Ramifications and Opportunities

The Santa Clara Valley Chapter of The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) would like to extend an invitation for you to join them on the first Thursday of October. Mark your calendars for October 7, 1999, and come for tabletop displays, dinner, a raffle, and an informative presentation about the Digital Revolution in Facilities Engineering: Basis and Opportunities.

Information technology (IT) changes everything. Do you want the IT vision to be your vision? To talk fluently with your IT staff? Ask the right questions to realize your vision? Leverage IT as your business competitive edge? And recognize the opportunities and perils? Dr. Lee will show you the sea of changes in transmission technology, Internet technologies, embedded technology, object technology, and storage technology, etc.; as well as address the opportunities these technologies generate such as real-time collaboration, single source, multimedia, WebCam, and dataware, etc. Our speaker will also share with you his insights in various business models, paradigms, and then look years ahead.

Our speaker, Mr. Kaiman Lee, Ph.D., registered architect, is a CAD pioneer, instrumental in developing the world's first turnkey computer graphics system for architects. His seventeen-year Navy career includes lead Computer Aided Design positions, Director of Engineering, and Director of Information Systems. Mr. Lee has taught at universities and lectured around the world. He has written over twenty books. His "executive briefing books" being published include: Technology Revolution: Ramifications and Opportunities, and 21st Century Engineering Document Management.
