Alternative Dispute Resolution

The Santa Clara Valley Chapter of The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) would like to extend an invitation for you to join them on the first Thursday of September. Mark your calendars for September 2, 1999, and come for dinner, a raffle, and an informative presentation about Alternative Dispute Resolution.

With the expense of litigation ever increasing, we in the industry are constantly seeking alternative means for the resolution of disputes. This is particularly true of construction disputes, which are often technical, fact intensive, time-consuming and expensive to litigate. Our speaker will discuss several of the alternative dispute resolution ("ADR") avenues available, including mediation and arbitration, the advantages of proceeding with ADR, and provide practical tips for client participation in the different ADR procedures available.

Our speaker; Mr. John Antracoli is a partner in the law firm of Bergeson, Elioppulos, Grady & Gray; LLP located in San Jose, California. He specializes in the representation of owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in the litigation and resolution of disputes arising from both public and private sector construction projects. Mr. Antracoli’s experience includes representation of clients in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, as well as in the trial of cases before both judges and juries.
